HAPPY NEW YEAR!

There’s so much pressure to end the year on a high note—to be better than you were before, to outdo what you’ve done, and to reach new heights. For some of us, just existing, surviving, and making it through the uncertain, unpredictable, bewildering periods of time is the best we can do. Survival, along with every emotion and expectation that comes with it, is an achievement. Making it through every hour of every day when life isn’t going your way is the greatest achievement.

Remember that social media is a glimpse into people’s personas. Comparison is the thief of joy. Transparency, authenticity, and human connection are your guides to survival. And you are your greatest love and most important project!

My New Year’s wish is for everyone, especially my peeps who’ve endured the roughest times, that your needs are not just met but overlap. My wish is for you to give and receive your heart’s desires. My wish is for you to receive empathy, compassion, kindness, understanding, generosity, safety, and stability. I wish everyone good health and more love and happiness than your heart can hold.
